Christmas is fast approaching and we still haven’t decided if we should put up a tree for Felize’s first Christmas!
The reason for the hesitation is mostly because we live in a condo and a full sized tree just isn’t a practical option. I haven’t found a small tree that appeals to me either.
Even if we don’t have our tree yet and while we’re still waiting for someone *ahem, my mom* to buy us a fresh tree, I figured I’d share some easy peasy tricks on how to scent your (artificial) tree this holiday season.
1. The easiest way to spread that holiday pine smell – get a fresh Christmas Tree! But of course, if you already have an artificial tree all decked up, put 10 drops of pine oil in a cotton ball and wipe it on the stems of your tree. In scenting your tree, remember – less is more! You just need a whiff, not a cloying cloud of pine scent.
2. Create a sachet ornament and hang it on your tree!
Scent sachets aren’t just limited to your drawers and closets, it can make great tree ornaments as well.
Dried poupourri, dried flowers, cinnamon sticks and even rice are easy to find and are simple items that you can place inside sachets and hang on your tree.

3. Make a pine-scented spray!
Things you need:
An empty spray bottle (approx. 100ml)
What to do:
Add 70ml alcohol to your bottle
Missing: MLL / RGL name cards
Add 2 each of the essential oils above except Pine (4 drops)
Pour in Water
Give it a good shake
Voila!!! Scenting Your DIY Christmas Tree
Happy holidays and have a scentful Christmas!
